Circle or oval-shaped, ripe Australian grown jujube are yellow and brown-skinned fruits with red-brown spots. As the fruit ripens and becomes fully mature jujube turn entirely red. The redder the fruit the sweeter the flavour, jujubes texture is similar to an apple.

Also known as Chinese date or red date, jujubes are grown in the sunshine of Mildura, close to the mighty Murray River as well as Queensland and South Australia.
