Market

November is a great month for fresh produce.

The beautiful tropical aroma that comes with all the summer fruit that is readily available right now and coming into full swing.

Cherries

First of the season Cherries from the Hillston district are now available along with sweet juicy Peaches and Nectarines.

Apricots

Apricots are also now readily available and are eating exceptionally well.

Fresh Berries

All our fresh berries are representing great value at the present along with all our Tomato lines as we are now seeing fruit from all the new season crops coming through which are bright, vibrant and full of flavour, a great time for salads with this wonderful warmer weather.

One of the greatest challenges that continually face the fresh produce industry is Mother Nature. Severe storms around the Burdekin district in Queensland have wiped out 95% of the Mango crop this season, which will have an effect on supply come early December. That said, all reports from the Mareeba district are that the season is shaping up well which should see reasonable volumes coming through for the Christmas period.

We have also just introduced a whole new range of cold press juices, made fresh in store every day. Whether you’re on a health kick or not, these juices are amazing so do yourself a favour and try one when you’re next in store.
