Dragonfruit Red (Each)

$9.99

Exotic looking dragon Fruit has a delicate sweet flavour best described as a blend of pear and kiwifruit and a soft texture similar to a ripe kiwi. It comes in two colours, red or white; both have tiny kiwifruit like seeds scattered throughout the flesh.

Dragon Fruit is good for your heart as it contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids; eating this fruit may help reduce LDL “bad cholesterol” levels. It is also a source of vitamin C, which is good for your immune system. Red dragon fruits are a source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant.

HOW TO PREPARE DRAGON FRUIT

  1. Place the dragonfruit on a chopping board. Cut in half lengthways. When ripe, it is easy to slice.
  2. Use a dessertspoon to scoop out the flesh. Trim away any skin that is still attached. Chop or slice the flesh as desired.
